The DHS Sport Team took part in their first Mudman of the season. A big thank you to Kobus and Amanda Müller for travelling with the Sprinter and a very loaded bike rack, due to our ever expanding team. Thank you to the DHS parents who travelled to Hermannsburg to transport and support their children. Well done to Robert Scott and Mrs Carter who did the Full Individual race and to Jaclyn Cox, David Jacobs, Erika Prinsloo and Stephen Ferreira for completing the Half Individual. Congratulations to all the following teams who participated: team 'Avengers' (David Grace, Karla Müller and Taylor Martinson) who came first in their age group; team 'Congoloz' (Fergus Donaldson, Kobus Müller and Werner van Staden); team 'Underdogs' (Langa Madela, Kevin Jacobs and Kurt Estrice) who completed the full event; team 'Simca' (Lianca Congdon, Simoné Groenewald and Rebekah Lewis); team 'Racing Pigeons' (Terry-Lee Honiball, Sarah-Jane Cherry and Russel Smith) who took part in the half distance event. Well done to all of you - especially the new comers! Remember; life is too short for one sport so why not multisport! Fishing
On Saturday, 02 February, 24 learners making up 6 teams, crawled out of bed very early to travel to Klipfontein to fish against a range of other schools. All the teams did very well and enjoyed the day of fishing thoroughly. Congratulations to our first team which came second overall; Brandon Halforty, Gert Cronjé, Nawaaz Ismail and Ashley Laloo. Gert Cronjé caught the biggest barbell of the day. A few Penkoppe from Junior Schools have also joined the fishing on Saturday, which just shows how strong a sport fishing is becoming. Our young learners did very well with Jan-Frederik van Zyl ending the day as the best Penkop! Thank you to all the parents and to Mrs Swart for your endless support and sacrifice in building up the fishing team. AMESA - KZN - Maths Olympiad
