DHS Art Studio will be hosting an art exhibition 10 April, 2014. The exhibition will be held in the school hall and will begin at 6pm. The entrance fee is R20 and all are encouraged to support this cause, as the money raised will be donated to the KZN Project Rhino which needs all the help it can get. Ask yourself: What am I doing to help protect and save this majestic animal? KZN Athletics
Thirteen DHS athletes took part in the KZN Provincial Meeting this past weekend. All of them qualified for the finals in their different items. Thank you finally to Mrs Heroux and Mrs Boshoff for accompanying and motivating the learners every step of the way! Voortrekker Day
On Saturday the 15th of March 2014, Dundee High School's rugby teams travelled to Voortrekker High School. The u/14's kicked off with a convincing victory against Voortrekker High School, with the final score at 15-5 in Dundee High's favour. Hoërskool Dundee se o/15 span het te staan gekom teen Kuswag Hoërskool, en het rugby uit die boonste rakke gespeel, en uiteindelik 36-0 geseëvier. DHS 1st team put in a great effort to eventually top Greytown 15-14 despite the 2nd half being shortened by 15 minutes. Dundee High School, managed to score three tries, but with their regular kickers being tied up with athletics couldn't convert those three tries. Hockey: Finals at Voortrekker
The 1st team hockey girls truly lived up to the adage, “No guts, no glory,” this weekend at the Voortrekker Sports day. The draw had them playing five games after one another with only an 18 minute break between the games followed by the last pool game, two hours later. Fantastic hockey was played and the girls showed great cohesion and a die-hard spirit. After winning four games and drawing two-they were through to the finals. After only a five minute break between their last game and the final-they unfortunately lost 1-0. The girls were then treated to a live rugby game when they went to watch the Sharks beat the Reds in the Shark Tank.
