From 1 May, all learners are expected to wear winter uniform. A blazer and tie must be worn at all times. Girls may wear long pants or stockings, with their blazer and tie. Please note that white socks may not be worn with the long pants. Kindly ensure that the learner's blazer has been dry-cleaned and has a badge sewn on before 1 May. We will be hosting a mass reunion weekend over the weekend of 16 May. All old scholars are welcome. There will be a bring a braai at the school on Friday night from 5pm at R50pp, which includes your side dishes. Tickets are available at the office. Sport against LHS on Saturday morning - please come and support! An 80s themed Birthday bash will be held at the Golf Club on Saturday night. On Saturday and Sunday our fishing boys departed early to fish at the KZN trials held at Klipfontein dam. The boys were all very nervous and hoped that all their preparation and skills would pay off, as they were striving to be a part of the KZN teams and to honour the selection criteria. On Saturday specific abilities were tested and on Sunday their fishing skills were tested. Congratulations to all the boys who made the KZN B team: Ashley Laloo, Mikaile Nanan, Reuben Kenchenten, Dewald Wait, Shane Van Wyk, Dean Lambert, Veroshen Subramoney, Jason Goërtz and Raees Kajee.
Congratulations to Brandon Halforty who has received his South African colours for fishing, your dedication and performance really paid off. We are very proud of you! Also, a very big thank you to our parents who were involved. Tails up boys…we'll do it again!
Congratulations to all the DHS artists and Mrs. Carter. Your hard work has raised almost R12 000 for Project Rhino KZN. Mrs. Carter and her art team have decided to carry on fundraising for this cause and DHS would like to encourage all to attend any future events planned. SPORT VS PONGOLA
