On Wednesday, 20 May, the DHS sport teams travelled to Vryheid Landbou to participate in their second last round of sport. Thank you to all the teams, coaches and managers who attended and to Vryheid Landbou for hosting. The results were as follows:

Hockey: The girls’ hockey teams also had a successful day. The second team won 1-0 and the first team also beat their opponents 4-0. Well done!
Chess: DHS had yet another successful chess round, winning all their matches 5:3.
Well done to all the DHS teams that played their hearts out. DHS wishes you all of the best in your upcoming matches against Sarel Cilliers. Derby Day will be hosted by Dundee High this year and it is going to be a day of good sport and fun. Supporters are welcome to attend, however please be aware of a small entrance fee charged at the gate on Saturday, 30 May.
The DHS under 16 boys had the privilege of opening up the game for Dundee Sentraal on Friday evening. They played against a team from Glencoe and won their match convincingly. This was a good experience for the DHS under 16’s and hopefully it will spur them on to play their best, this Saturday.
On Friday evening, last week, DHS hosted a sophisticated musical evening. The evening was enjoyed by many locals and a special thank you must be made to Mrs Bruyns, Mrs Haschke for organising the evening and also to the Youth Choir parents for their help. The evening had a fantastic line up, opening with Ashley Laloo’s band accompanied by others, followed by the DHS school choir, which really sang their hearts out, and then the NKZN Youth Choir which thrilled the audience with their songs. Thank you to the Youth choir conductor and Mr Sokhela. The evening ended with a mass choir performing a few musical magic tricks for the audience to enjoy. Thank you to all who attended.
