Congratulations to the Dundee High matric class of 2015. You have once again done your school and district proud with the 97.76% pass rate you achieved.

Atiyyah had a 94.1% average and obtained distinctions in all her subjects namely ENGHL, AFRFA, LIFE, MATH, PHSC, ACCN, LFSC and BSTD. Sadiyah Malek (90.4%) was second in Umzinyathi and also had distinctions for all her subjects: ENGHL, AFRFA, LIFE, MATH, PHSC, ACCN, LFSC and BSTD. Jehan Ebrahim (87.7%), also in the Umzinyathi Top 5, had a full house of distinctions in the same subjects as her two classmates ENGHL, AFRFA, LIFE, MATH, PHSC, ACCN, LFSC and BSTD. She was followed by Simone Millar (86.4%) who had 7 distinctions (another full house) for ENGHL, AFRFA, LIFE, MLIT, CNST, TRSM and VSLA. Over and above the 10 A averages a further 23 learners obtained an average above 70% and 37 more an average above 60%. In total 70% of the Dundee High matric class qualified for admission to university by obtaining a bachelors pass (matric exemption).
Van die 962 eksamens wat geskryf is, het die 2015 klas 159 vak onderskydings gekry. Dit beteken dat 16.5% van alle punte hoër as 80% was. Welgedaan! Ons is ongelooflik trots op ons leerders.
Of the 19 subjects offered at Dundee High, 13 had a 100% pass rate and 8 had subject averages above 60%. Subjects where more than 10 distinctions were obtained were LIFE, ZULFA, BSTD and VSLA.
Results such as these once again confirm our school motto “Strenius Ardua Cedunt” – hard work is rewarded. These results could only be achieved by hard work, not only by the learners but also by the dedicated educators of DHS. Thank you and congratulations to each learner, each parent, each educator and most of all thank you to our Heavenly Father who once again held his protective hand over our school and blessed our learners with good results.
