On the 9th of September, our u/15 team travelled to Newcastle to play Ferrum High School. The DHS side batted first making a massive total of 211 in the allotted 20 overs. Jan-Frederik van Zyl made 101 runs of 56 balls. He was well supported by Preston Caldecott who made 52 runs of 31 balls. DHS took to the field and after excellent bowling, the Ferrum side was restricted to a total of 135 runs. In the end, the DHS side won by an impressive 76 runs. On the 22nd of September, the team travelled to Ladysmith. After bowling first, the Ladysmith side was restricted to a low 99 runs. Preston was on fire, taking 3 wickets for only 14 runs. It was then our turn to bat and DHS chased down the total set by Ladysmith in only 14 overs. Huzaifah led the chase with his 28 runs. Our u/15s won by 5 wickets. The u/15 side is undefeated in the league and will play in the final against Vryheid after ending on top of the log. Well done boys! You have made us very proud with your results this season!
