On Saturday, 13 April, the sport fields were alive with a buzz that has been absent in Dundee for a while.  Teachers, old scholars and community members were setting up stalls from as early as 6am.  The food stalls had enjoyable meals from curry and rice to pancakes and ice cream as well as samosas, burgers and much more.  The children could have fun at the Kids Zone whilst the adults enjoyed a few great games of sport.  The train ride was a hit with the children – many high school learners also enjoyed a ride around the athletics field and even a few parents got in on the action.

It was lovely to see many old scholars like Mr and Mrs Lemmer, Mr Nel, Mrs Mulhatton, Mrs Heine, Mr Adendorf, Mrs Shirley Wade, Braam Cronje, Karen and Paula (Spiers), Louis Steenkamp, Mr Haschke, Mr Devereux and many more! Mr Smit, DHS principal, and the staff would like to thank every sponsor for their contributions as well as every parent, SGB member and community member for every act of kindness, support and camaraderie.  We cannot express enough gratitude for helping us make this day a huge success, reminding us that our little town has so much to give. We feel so proud to be a part of the Dundee community.
