On 7 March, members of the school’s first chess team represented DHS at the Umzingiyathi Chess Tournament, where they delivered outstanding performances and brought home several awards.
Among the top achievers were Ruell Pillay, who received a trophy and medal for Best U20 Player, and Samuel Schultz, who earned a trophy and medal for Best U13 Player.
Other notable results included Avir Ramchuran, who secured a medal for third place in the U20 category, Anthony Harris, who finished fourth in the U20 category, and Iman Yusuf, who achieved second place in the U20 Girls category.
With achievements ranging from the chessboard to the kitchen, DHS learners continue to demonstrate talent, dedication and school pride in every arena.
