Dundee High School (DHS) enjoyed a highly successful sporting encounter against Amajuba on Saturday, 21 February, producing impressive performances across several codes.
The DHS Chess team set the tone with a commanding 9–1 victory, showcasing strategic excellence and depth across the boards.
On the hockey turf, the U/16 Girls’ Hockey team delivered a confident 2–0 win, with Tamali Witbooi and Cherice Mordaunt finding the back of the net with two beautifully executed goals that thrilled spectators. Momentum continued with the DHS First Team Girls’ Hockey side edging past their opponents 1–0 in a tightly contested match. Kiara Gouws proved decisive, scoring the crucial goal that secured the victory. The Boys’ First Team Hockey team capped off a memorable day for DHS with a dominant 4–0 triumph, displaying skill, teamwork and attacking flair.
The rugby boys were also victorious with u/14 team winning 29 – 0, u/15 winning 29 – 10 and the first team winning 44 – 0.
