The annual Speech and Drama Festival was recently held at Dundee High School.
Learners had the opportunity to showcase their talents across a variety of categories, with poetry recitation, dramatic monologues, and speech presentations being the most popular. This year, 47 learners participated, presenting a total of 99 different pieces.
The festival spans two days, during which an adjudicator from the South African Speech and Drama Association (SADASA) evaluates each performance and awards marks accordingly. Learners eagerly anticipate earning their certificates, with the hope of being selected for the prestigious Bruce Piper Monologue Competition in October.
A special thank you to Mrs. Sandra Fourie for her outstanding adjudication, and to Caitlyn Mitchell for her continued administrative support each year.
